Full Tilt Poker to cancel payment claims soon

According to their website, the claims administrator of the old Full Tilt Poker in charge of the disbursement of payments to U.S customers, said payments are to be paid "shortly". The organization chosen by the U. S. Department of Justice to handle the payments to those U.S players affected by the "Black Friday" shutdown and closure of Full Tilt Poker, Garden City Group, announced that they had completed their reviews and are ready for the next step.

The "FTP Account Balances" or cutoff line for accounts as the Garden City Group calls them, is April 15, 2011. The amount of money a player had in their account at that moment, corresponds to the amount a player can request for. The question is of course, how much of that figure will be granted to the players.

As their website's statement read: “If the forfeited funds available for distribution are equal or exceed the aggregate FTP Account Balances, each petitioner with an approved claim will receive the entirety of his or her FTP Account Balance. However, if the amount exceeds the funds available for distribution, payments shall be made to eligible petitioners on a pro rata basis.”
