The 2017 Chance for Life Charity Poker Tournament is to take place under the aegis of Brad Nierenberg at the MGM Grand Hotel at National Harbor. The event is scheduled for April 1.
The tournament has a twelve-year successful track record in its effort to raise awareness of childhood spinal cancer. Since its inauguration, the charity has raised over $2 million which is donated to the Children’s National Medical Foundation and Alex’s Lemonade Stand.
The beneficiaries are engaged in carrying out innovative research programs for battling child cancer. Brad Nierenberg’s own goddaughter, Kennedy Snyder, is one of the victims of the malicious disease. This year’s profits will be channeled directly to children in the Washington DC area.
According to expectations, Chance for Life is preparing the most impressive philanthropic event in the region. The fundraising event is envisioned as a lavish sensory experience that is going to last 13 hours. The poker tournament offering players a chance at $10,000 and a qualification for the annual World Series of Poker in Las Vegas will be supplemented by gourmet cuisine and drinks.
