Arizona State allows Tribal Group to run Poker Room in Glendale

The fight over the controversial casino in the Glendale area that opened in 2015, is over, with Arizona giving the go-ahead to the Tohono O’odham Nation to run table games and a poker room at its $400 million establishments.

The state dropped its opposition to the casino when the tribe agreed not to run casino gambling in Phoenix itself.  The two towns are only roughly 10 miles apart, but other tribes have the rights for gaming in the Phoenix area.

The nation has worked hard to end this dispute and now can continue with its West Valley investment where it is estimated that thousands of more jobs will be created resulting in an economic boon for the area.

Arizona already has 150 poker tables and more than a dozen poker rooms, with most of them being situated in the Phoenix area.
