Film website IMDB has announced that Aaron Sorkin’s poker movie Molly’s Game has entered post-production phase. Sorkin makes his debut as a director with the title which began filming last year.

The star-studded cast boasts Jessica Chastain, Idris Elba, Kevin Costner and Michael Cera. Chastain stars Molly Bloom, a.k.a. the “poker princess”, who faces federal charges over participating in a gambling ring. Bloom was involved in setting up high-stakes poker games for Hollywood celebrities and well-off businesspeople. The “cream of the crop” is portrayed by famous actors such as Leonardo DiCaprio, Ben Affleck, Matt Damon and Toby Maguire.

Costner is playing Bloom’s father, Idris Elba is her lawyer, while Cera is a random poker player.

According to Sorkin, “The casting of Jessica and Idris in the two lead roles is any film-maker’s dream come true. […] Their chemistry will be electric.”

Sorkin, who has a Oscar for screenwriting, has also produced the script for Molly’s Game.
