20-year-old Dzmitry Urbanovich adds EPT Dublin win to his impressive resume

Polish poker pro Dzmitry “Dima” Urbanovich is taking the world by storm. In July 2013 Dima scored his first live cash in the Czech Republik for $525, and ever since he has won $4,828,346 in 49 different events. Needless to say: This kid is going places.

Two of the more notable names along Dima at the final table were Rhys Jones and Kully Sidhu, the latter finishing second at the €10K High Roller at EPT Barcelona last August, good for €640K. However, none of the finalist were able to stop Dima from winning his first EPT Main Event in Dublin for €561,900.

When they were down to the heads-up, German player Gilles Bernies started with a massive 4:1 chiplead on Urbanovich. Bernies must’ve been suicidal when he ran a huge no-equity bluff in Urbanovich to give it all away. After some more play, Bernies shoved a flush draw into Urbanovich’s trip aces. He did hit the flush on the river, but that card also gave Urbanovich a full house and the title.

Urbanovich, having won four side events at EPT Malta in Season 11, adds another prestigious tournament to his incredible Hendon Mob.
