Edgar Stuchly, the President of PokerStars Live, has been terminated from his position, following what was called the “unenthusiastic” performance of their rebranded tournament series.

David Carrion would be replacing Stuchly as the Director of Marketing of the PokerStars brand. He would along with leading the global strategy, would also control the advertising, digital, social media, content marketing and live events.

Stuchly was responsible for one of the most powerful tournament poker schedules in the world circa 2011.Stuchly replaced John Duthie, founder of European Poker Tour, and under his tenure built the circuit into one of the best in the world.

Despite Stuchly’s moves being controversial, he made EPT much more than an event, a festival to be precise.

These efforts of Stuchly were a bit shortlived when Amaya Gaming executives instead of continuing with their product under EPT banner decided to bring about changes to it, which marked the beginning of all the trouble.

The players who under the former owners were treated well apart from many side activities started complaining of the treatment during the EPT stops now.

Amaya Gaming decided to discontinue the EPT and its subsidiary poker tours, this decision to change the poker culture came during the fall of 2016 and rebranding the EPT as PokerStars Championship in the beginning of 2017.

The PokerStars Championship-Bahamas saw many complaints from the players and as a result, the remaining stops saw many players exiting in masses from the events.
