KPMG International and Microsoft Corp. are joining forces to set up “Blockchain Nodes” that will foster the development of a start-up ecosystem for blockchain technology. The joint project also aims at solving clients’ issues as far as the application of the innovative technology is concerned.
The first two Blockchain Node locations will be in Frankfurt and Singapore, and a third one is planned for New York.
Eamonn Maguire, Global and US Leader for KPMG’s Digital Ledger Services commented, “The Blockchain Nodes will play a critical role in identifying new applications and use cases that blockchain can address.” The consultancy is going to work with clients to identify and test ideas that will feature in prototype solutions using the innovative technology.
Marley Gray, Principal Architect Program Manager, Azure Blockchain Engineering at Microsoft added that the software giant will tap into KPMG’s business expertise in order to come up with innovative applications of blockchain technology. To this end, Microsoft will be utilizing their proprietary Azure cloud platform and hybrid cloud architecture.
