Slot Machines To Set Up For 16 Hours To Preserve Licence by 2 Las Vegas Casinos

As per the law, at least eight hours of casino play must occur every two years, to preserve a gaming licence.

Following this, two casinos in downtown viz. Las Vegas Club and the Mermaids Casino may have slot machine play return for at least 16 hours, later this month.

The plan would be reviewed on June 21 by the Las Vegas City Council; the final approval is scheduled on June 22 by the Nevada Gaming Commission.

Slot-route Operator United Coin, owned by Montana-based Century Gaming Technologies will set up 16 slot machines for eight hours each at the Las Vegas Club and Mermaids on June 27 and June 28 respectively. United Coin often receives requests to set up temporary casinos by licensing applicants to preserve licences.

The Las Vegas Club was acquired by Stevens for an undisclosed price in August 2015 and then the building holding the Mermaids and La Bayou casinos and Topless Girls of Glitter Gulch adult entertainment club in April 2016, and closed in June 2016.
