Revenues Up 30% in Maryland Casino's in October

The casino industry may be bleeding some places in the US, but for the casino's in Maryland it is the exact opposite. The casino's had revenues of $86.8 million in October this year, which is a 30% increase year-on-year and also a new record for the highest jump in revenues.


In October 2013, the casino's in Maryland only generated $66.4 million in total revenues, which was before the Horseshoe Casino Baltimore was build. The Horseshoe Casino Baltimore is the casino who helped the revenues increase, as all other casino's in the state experienced a 3.1% decrease in revenues combined year-on-year.


The Horseshoe Baltimore had the same revenues in October as in September, flatting out at $22.5 millions in revenue for both slots and table games. Rocky Gap Casino saw a boost in revenues year-on-year, with revenues going up 11.2% to $3.79 million while Maryland Live! Casino had total revenues of $50.3 million in October, a 3% decrease year-on-year.


The Casino at Ocean Downs had a 2.7% decrease in revenues, generating a total of $4.12 million, while Hollywood Casino Perryville had revenues of $6.1 million, an 11.1% increase year-on-year.
