NJ online gambling accounts keep rising

The New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement has released data from a recent research showing there are now 109,946 online gambling accounts as of December 22nd, 2013. The figures are sure to have grown even more over the holidays as players will have surely used their days off to gamble and play online even more. Just last week there were just over 90,000 accounts which means the remaining 18,000+ new accounts were created in little over a week's time.

The director of the Division of Gaming Enforcement, David Rebuck, commented "We have seen a steady and continual increase in site traffic since November 21 due to the outreach of the casino operators. We are encouraged by their marketing efforts and are optimistic for the future of New Jersey’s internet gaming industry".

New Jersey has witnessed fast and steady growth in player numbers in December, doubling its previous figures of just 50,000 over the mentioned period. These figures should continue to rise, especially with upcoming events which are sure to peak player interest. The World Poker Tour will gain great interest from players trying to win qualifiers online and the entry of new operators into the state's market will also generate a lot of new account registrations. The moment these new operators launch their online presence in New Jersey, many players will open new and secondary accounts.
