New Hollywood Park Casino aims on opening in Fall 2016

The Hollywood Park Casino Company announced on Friday that the new Cary Grant Pavilion at its new Hollywood Park Casino (HPC) will open this fall.

The new HPC, which broke ground last year in July, is one of many businesses that are part of the Inglewood Community's developing retail district. The 110,000-square-foot building will be nearly 40 percent larger and will include 125 gaming tables, a gourmet café, intimate lounge and a new sports bar. There will also be a new sit-down restaurant named the Century Bar & Grill.

Deven Kumar, HPC's general manager, said the new facility's design includes traditional elements of HPC, which in its original form has been a staple in the community since the 1930's, combined with luxury and convenience. “The new property will engage the art and social communities featuring global artists' work throughout. Signature to Southern California, palm trees iconography will line the drive as guests pull into valet park while a new parking structure are some of the included and updated amenities for incoming guests,” stated Kumar.

The target of the new larger casino will be the big-spending football fans who will be attending games at the City of Champions Stadium in 2019 when the new home of the NFL's Los Angeles Rams, which after a more than 20-year absence has returned to Southern California from St. Louis, is due to be completed.
