Net Entertainment, the leading casino game provider for some of the most popular online casino sites, announced today that their Mega Fortune progressive jackpot slot had a jackpot win yesterday, triggering the €3,100,000 prize pool on NorskeAutomater.com.

Mega Fortune is a global jackpot where the operators shares the prize pool amongst each other and contributes towards it every time a player takes a spin. It has been making people rich since 2008 with several multi-million euro wins, the biggest being registered in Guiness World of Records for its €17.9 million payout in January of 2013.

Netent also offers several other jackpot games, with the largest one currently being Hall of Gods, where the prize pool is reaching levels of €6,000,000. The prize pool will continue to grow until they are triggered, being of the progressive nature.

“I’m not superstitious, but Friday 13th was a strange day. I accidently deposited 1000 EUR instead of 1000 Norwegian kroner. I tried to stop the transaction, but it was too late, so perhaps it was destiny!” The Norwegian winner said to Netent.

“We’re only three months into the year and there have been two significant pooled jackpots drop. The life-changing sums on offer act as a perfect way to boost acquisition rates and retention levels for operators” Chief Product Officer at Netent, Simon Hammon said in a press release.
