The Montreign Resort Casino is going to be rebranded as Resorts World, according to a press release by owner Empire Resorts.

The deal concluded between Empire subsidiary Montreign Operating Company, LLC, and RW Services Pte Ltd. entails the use of several Genting and Resorts World trademarks for Montreign’s casino. There is also a new project under construction at the former Concord Resort Hotel site which is estimated at $1.2 billion. It will feature an entertainment village, hotel facilities, a 100,000-square-foot casino and a golf course.

Charles Degliomini, executive vice president of Empire Resorts, is looking forward to exploiting the recognized gaming and hospitality brand.

The term of the licensing agreement is December 31, 2027, and contains an automatic renewal clause for a period of up to 39 years. The fee that Montreign will pay will be calculated on the basis of a “low single digit” percentage of net revenue from the casino, entertainment village, golf course and online gaming.

Resorts World is a global gaming company with resorts in Malaysia, Singapore, The Bahamas, The Philippines, England and New York City, and another under construction in Las Vegas.
