Harrah's Casino in Tunica Closing Today

Harrah's Casino in Tunica Closing Today

Harrah's Casino in Tunica, Mississippi, has been one of the most popular casino's in the area for many years and has always attracted a massive crowd to their tables. But now it is not going to happen anymore, as the casino have announced that they will be closing their doors for good on Monday (today).

The popular casino has been struggling with cash flow for years, after a major flood destroyed most of the area they were located in back in 2011. Not only did the flood ruin houses, streets and everything else, it also destroyed most of Harrah's Casino, who had to spend all their liquidity to try and fix the place up and ever since spend more and more money trying to keep it up to standards.

The flood waters was so high that it was not possible to open the casino doors, destroying everything on the inside more or less. It took the casino more than 30 days to rebuild everything and once done, the attendance and money flow just never became the same again.

It has not been said if there are anyone potentially interested in taking over the casino, but if not it looks like a few hundred people will have to find themselves a new job.
