Charity Casino Night Supports DeKalb County’s Disabled

A charity gaming event to benefit DeKalb County’s disabled people will be held at the Gracie Center on Saturday. Doors open at 6:00 PM and admission costs $25 per person, including $50 in gaming money.

Guests to the Terrace Room of the DeKalb Park District facility at Hopkins Park will have the chance to spend their money playing craps, black jack, roulette, poker, bingo and silent auctions.They will also be treated to a potato bar and a cash bar.

The Gracie Center is a non-profit organization whose fundraising activitysupports programs for adults with developmental disabilities in DeKalb County. The NGO delivers life skill trainings for participants with a view to enhancing their daily lives.

The most notable initiative undertaken by the Gracie Center is the Popup Shop, which is a mobile popcorn stand that operates in the full cycle from seed to sale. Common venues for the stand include local events and festivals.
