Ben Affleck Admits Card Counting in Casino

Ben Affleck has been the star of some of the latest gambling movies that has come out and despite most of them being not being a success, it seems that Affleck at least learned something from them – To count cards.

Affleck told to ABCNews that he has been counting cards in the casino's where he has been playing blackjack. While he didn't admit to doing so until now, Hard Rock Casino in Las Vegas still banned him earlier this year on the suspicion that he was able to count cards and gain an edge over the casino.

“I mean the fact that being good at the game is against the rules at a casino should tell you something about a casino,” Affleck told to ABCNews and added “There’s a lot of hospitality, backslapping, when they think you’re gonna come in and dump money, and if they think you might leave with some money, it’s like, ‘You know what? Why don’t you try craps or roulette?”

Affleck continued the interview stating that he does not gamble besides on blackjack, simply because he doesn't have an edge.

“But I knew with blackjack that there’s a way you can improve your odds. And so I started trying to learn. And then I just got to a point in my life where I’m like, ‘If I’m going to do something, I’m going to try and do it really well”

It will be interesting to see if any casino is willing to let Affleck play blackjack while staying there in the future.
