Robert Flores, 27, Huntington Beach died on Monday, July 10 at 1:20 p.m. at Inland Valley Medical Center in Wildomar, after falling from an escalator at Pechanga Resort and Casino, California over the weekend. The investigations are still going, and officials feel it’s a case of an accidental death with no signs of foul play.
According to coroner’s Sgt. Brent Sechrest Flores may have fallen from the escalator little before Saturday midnight, and the video footage showed what had happened. Further investigations will be conducted to determine the official cause and manner of death.
Flores was last seen leaving for going to the bathroom. Flores’ family was alerted of his fall after a public address system paged Flores’ father.
A spokesperson for the casino resort, Ciara Green gave out a written statement: “We are very saddened to learn of this tragedy and extend our deepest condolences to the family. We are working with local law enforcement on this incident.”
